Award Winning Artist: Holly Parson Nielsen
Holly Parson Nielsen is a two-dimensional artist whose creativity spans genres and mediums. “I love the vast language of visual art; that it communicates in image in ways no other language can. Its ideas, moods, and emotions seem to cross over boundaries of time and even the realms of the human soul.”
Holly’s work has been published nationally and internationally through Covenant Communications, Hickman Music Editions, the National Society for John Steinbeck, Origin Records, Espace Francophone Jungien, and the John A. Moran Eye Center. She has received multiple awards for her work, including a Moonbeam Children’s Book Gold Medal Award.
Holly is currently a member of the art faculty at Utah Valley University. She holds a Master of Fine Arts in Painting and Drawing from the University of Utah and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration from Brigham Young University-Idaho. She has also studied at the prestigious Illustration Academy in Richmond, Virginia, where she was mentored by Sterling Hundley, John English, Brent Watkinson, C.F. Payne, and Gary Kelley.
